- president and chief executive officer of Covenant House, the
- nation's largest privately funded and operated shelter system
- for young runaways; in New York City. McGeady will succeed the
- Rev. Bruce Ritter, who resigned last February amid allegations
- of financial and sexual impropriety. "If there's a more
- important job in America today than taking care of our troubled
- young people, I'm not aware of it," she observed last week.
